Author Urbano SalvatiEthnicity:  Italian from the Abruzzi region.Work Experience:  After working worldwide, I came to the United States. I worked in Detroit, Connecticut, Iowa, Oregon, Minnesota, Las Vegas, and back to Portland, Oregon. I opened the first Le Cordon Bleu in America which was in Minneapolis, MN., where I was promoted to Executive chef and Department ChairSpecial assignment: OHSU (Oregon Health and Science University).  I completed and upgraded the quality of the food service, especially in the patients’ meals. Basically, no processed, frozen, or prepared food was allowed. All the food for the patients was cooked to order. We served 14000 employees and patients daily.A French Magazine has interviewed meI dont know if this ok : Guide Des Pratiques Virtuousness. Family: Widower Married for 41 years to a wonderful lady who passed away 10 years ago, and now is with the angels.Life. My son lives in Portland and is a software engineer. I am fluent in Italian and English and can “get by” in French, German, and Spanish.Nothing gives me more pleasure than to write, especially children's books.. Children are like beautiful flowers that are always blooming. True happiness comes from love and good food. “There is a certain magic about children’s stories that I have always loved.
